My team today played the Alice in Wonderland room at Escape Hunt in The Galleria Mall, Dubai, and overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. The room was genuinely challenging, well thought out, and packed with clever puzzles that required teamwork and communication. We were pleased to complete it in under an hour, which made the experience even more rewarding. What prevented this from being a five-star experience was the customer service aspect at the beginning of our visit. Unfortunately, the game master (Filipina staff) who welcomed us appeared quite stoic and disengaged. The explanation of the game mechanics felt robotic and lacked warmth, enthusiasm, or any effort to build excitement before the game started. There was no real introduction to the venue or welcoming remarks, which made the experience feel somewhat impersonal from the outset. I understand that everyone can have an off day, and this may not reflect the usual standards of Escape Hunt. However, for an entertainment venue where customer engagement and immersion are such important parts of the experience, the welcome sets the tone for everything that follows. As someone who works in luxury retail, I strongly believe that first impressions last. The way guests are greeted and engaged during the first few minutes can significantly influence their overall perception of the experience. While the Alice in Wonderland room itself was excellent and absolutely worth trying, a more welcoming and enthusiastic approach from the host would have elevated the experience considerably. Despite this, I would still recommend Escape Hunt for the quality of its escape rooms, particularly the Alice in Wonderland challenge.

We went as a 5 person group and we had such a great experience. Five people felt like the perfect number, everyone stayed involved, and we were constantly communicating and solving different parts of the room at the same time. The room design was immersive and detailed, and the puzzles were challenging without being overwhelming. It really pushed us to work together and think creatively. The staff was friendly, organized, and made the whole experience smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something fun and different to do in Dubai with friends. We’ll definitely be back to try another room!
